Just in time for Thanksgiving, today’s Press Herald wine column meanders, maybe a bit too soberly, through thoughts of the shadow side: alcohol’s irrefutably ill effects on the state of the user. I’m not talking about liver damage or domestic violence, but rather about the effects of drinking on our inner condition.
